Year 2020 Custom Order
Schedule & Updates
With a new year and new decade, there will be some adjustments to the business in 2020. Hopefully this will serve as a Frequently Wondered Questions section regarding custom orders and final deadlines for the year 2020.
Deadline for final custom work will be
November 13th 2020.
Custom Orders Overview for 2020
Currently, I am focusing primarily on custom orders. These are limited to the categories listed in my shop however, and I will not be creating custom gowns, or fitted pieces.
Custom Handfasting Cloth Orders 2020
We are continuing to design and ship custom handfasting cloths as usual during 2020. Please keep in mind that turn-around times will fluctuate depending on time of year, and my slots may be full at times. Please allow plenty of time before your wedding date so I may accommodate you. I will discuss each custom order timeline with each customer prior to ordering.
Custom Garb/Clothing Orders 2020
As of 2020, commissioned, fitted, garments are being discontinued. There will be very few exceptions, however, and a new location policy of 85 miles or less from Sperryville Virginia. If a custom garb order is deemed possible, that final decision will be solely at the discretion of Strike Daekins.
Custom Elf Hoods & Banner Bags
With the cancelations of so many festivals I usually am booked at for the year, I have decided to offer custom orders for Elf Hoods & Banner Bags for 2020.
The final date to have a custom order placed for the year 2020, is November 13th, 2020. Send me a message at StrikeDaekins@gmail.com to inquire about having your own custom Elf Hood or Banner Bag created.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: The short answer, no.
I have been asked this many times over the past few years. While I appreciate the inquiry, at this time, no, I am not hiring for studio work, or booth help, based on the small scale of my business and my family obligations.
Q: Can you fix my favorite blouse? My dog chewed our couch cushions, can you fix them?! Custom curtains?
A: While my sewing skills do provide the ability to do such things and beyond, the short and simple answer is, no. This is not the type of business I am in. :-)
There will be no repairs for personal garments (not purchased from Strike Daekins) or upholstery repairs, undertaken in 2020
